MCM Comic-Con confirms Investment Summit lineup and industry reception

The final lineup has been confirmed for the Investment Summit at MCM London Comic-Con, which now incorporates the EGX gaming event. Organiser ReedPop has also confirmed an industry networking reception will follow the event, which takes place on Friday 24th October, and features a rich talent roster of current and former GI.biz staff.

The Investment Summit, produced in partnership with regular GI.biz collaborator Game Republic, is a series of panels and sessions dedicated to helping developers and publishers find funding. GI.biz’s Lewis Packwood is hosting a panel discussion on the current state of games funding, with guests including Yogscast Games’ Simon Byron, Team 17’s Meg Clark and Transcend Fund’s Lirui Ding.

The event also features an on-stage interview with former Microsoft and EA Sports exec Peter Moore, hosted by head of The Game Business and GI.biz veteran Christopher Dring. There’s also a presentation by Digital Banditos delivered by former GI.biz EIC James Batchelor, alongside pitching advice from Secret Mode’s James Schall, and advice on applying to angel investors and the recent UK Research Innovation Fund.

The event will be followed by an industry networking reception within the MCM venue, which requires a separate ticket that may be applied for here.
