Krafton to undergo “complete” reorganization as it positions itself as an “AI-first company”

Subnautica 2 and PUBG publisher Krafton is positioning itself as an “AI-first company.”

The publisher said it would be “prioritizing AI as a central and primary means of problem-solving” and “fostering change in individuals and organisations, increasing company-wide productivity, and accelerating mid- to long-term corporate value growth.”

In a Korean-language statement translated by machine, the company said that as part of this work, it will undertake a “complete” reorganization and invest $69.7 million / 100 billion Korean won in a new GPU cluster for “sophisticated reasoning and iterative planning.”

Another $20.8 million / 30 million won has also been earmarked to retrain its workforce in using AI tools.

“Starting today, Krafton will automate work centred on Agentic AI and fully implement an AI-centred management system where members focus on creative activities and complex problem solving,” said Krafton CEO Kim Chang-han.

“We will leap forward as a company that promotes the growth of members and expands the organisation’s areas of challenge through AI.”
