Hades 2 surpassed 112,000 concurrent players on Steam over its launch weekend, breaking its early access peak.
That’s according to SteamDB, which notes that the sequel hit an all-time player peak of 112,947 players since the game’s full launch on September 25, 2025.
When Hades 2 launched in early access last May, it reached a concurrent player peak of over 103,000 players.
As noted by Gamesradar, this latest record is double the peak of Hades which reached 54,240 following the early access launch of Hades 2.
Hades has also seen a spike in players on Steam since the full launch of Hades 2, reaching 19,029 users.
Last week, Hades 2 became Metacritic’s highest-rated PC game for 2025, beating the likes of Blue Prince, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
As of writing, the game has a Metascore of 95 on PC and an overall score of 94.
Data from Alinea Analytics has also estimated that Hades 2 moved more than two million copies on Steam during its early access release, generating revenues of $50 million.
An estimated 1.5 million sales took place within the first two months of launch.
Hades 2 released as a timed console exclusive on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, with a physical edition launching on November 20, 2025.
